On January 8, Zhou Ji, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the National Manufacturing Powerhouse Construction Strategy Advisory Committee, led an expert team of 11 members to Tengzhou to investigate the high-quality development of the Machine Tool and high-end equipment industry. Wang Maoqing, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, as well as leaders from Zaozhuang and Tengzhou, including Wang Guangbu, Zhang Longjiang, Yan Binglei, and Ma Jin'an, participated in the inspection respectively.
Zhou Ji and his delegation visited Shandong Weida Precision Intelligent Machinery Co., Ltd. and the Tengzhou International High-End CNC Machine Tool Industrial Park (Weida's new factory). They entered production workshops and research and development fronts, inquired in detail about the company's technological R&D, achievement transformation, and industrial chain layout, and engaged in in-depth exchanges with enterprise leaders and researchers to gain a thorough understanding of the current development status and technological bottlenecks faced by the Machine Tool and high-end equipment industry.
At the subsequent symposium, Zhou Ji and the delegation fully affirmed the achievements made in the development of Tengzhou’s Machine Tool and high-end equipment industry. They noted that as the "Capital of China's Small and Medium-Sized Machine Tools," Tengzhou boasts a solid industrial foundation, bursting innovative vitality, a well-established innovation system, and abundant human resources, which have injected strong momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy. Moving forward, Tengzhou should anchor its development direction toward high-end, intelligent, and green transformation, leverage intelligent upgrading as a powerful tool to enhance product competitiveness, seize market opportunities through technological advancements, and increase market share. It is essential to focus on the key area of Machine Tool numerical control system R&D, uphold the core role of innovation-driven development, deepen collaborative efforts with universities, research institutions, and leading enterprises, break through key technological bottlenecks, and solidify the foundation for industrial growth.
