Provincial Defense Machinery and Electronics Trade Union Visits Weida for Research
On June 11, Liu Xiaolin, Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Defense Machinery and Electronics Trade Union, led a delegation to Weida for a research visit. Wang Zhenhua, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Audit Committee of Zaozhuang City Federation of Trade Unions, accompanied the visit. Li Peng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Vice Chairman of Tengzhou City Federation of Trade Unions, Yang Qin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman, along with heads of relevant departments, participated in the visit. Wang Liang, Minister of Electrical Technology at Weida, accompanied the delegation.
The research team visited Weida on site, listened to work reports, and conducted a detailed review of key ongoing efforts, including the development of the local high-end equipment manufacturing industry cluster and the cultivation of a new-era industrial worker workforce.
The team fully acknowledged the interim achievements of the Tengzhou trade union. They noted that the Tengzhou trade union closely follows the local leading industrial layout, actively promotes the spirit of craftsmanship, steadily strengthens grassroots union foundations, and systematically advances industrial worker training. All measures are practical, well-implemented, and effective. The union has firmly played its role as a bridge and link, accurately fulfilling its duties in connecting with workers, serving enterprises, and empowering regional development.
The team emphasized three key priorities for future work:
- Deepen industrial worker reform– Leverage the advantages of the equipment manufacturing industry to improve the worker skills training system and expand the pool of high-quality industrial workers.
- Strengthen grassroots unions– Promote standardized and normalized construction of enterprise-level unions on an ongoing basis, and enhance the service capacity of grassroots union organizations.
- Address workers' urgent needs– Improve inclusive services and rights protection, activate workers' internal motivation, and support high-quality local economic and social development through concrete union actions.
